What is project management?

Project engineering combines operational project management and technical work, our team of project managers steer F&B and Hotel projects alongside experts like architects, project managers and all kinds of engineers. Our operational and technical expertise allows our team to steer a simple and a complex project (from 100k to 300 millions euros) with a precise eye on budget / client experience / program, operational execution and profitability. People also call us operational project managers.

What does it mean?

It means that a operational project manager is dedicated to the project and follows the project for the client on a daily / weekly basis. That we speak to each other every week and make sure that the planning is respected and that nothing is left on the side, we give rhythm to the project and make sure no one forgets the initial brief, the client experience and the feasibility of the project.

We use powerful tools to make sure everyone has the same level of information like BOX, Trello, grizzly and whatsapp groups and we do our best to animate the project team around commun values and goals. Projects can take a few months somethimes few years, having us on your side guarantees that compromises are made in the best interest of the project and final client.

Who do you report to?

We report to the client or/and his representative, usually owner of the hotel but on a daily basis we speak to the operation teams, hotel project managers/construction managers and to the rest of the team involved (interior design, kitchen consultants, architects...). We like to have a weekly or or bi monthly call to discuss urgent and current topics and share some documents. After each call and key meeting we send and share on our platform a meeting minutes so we keep track of what's going on and we of course adjust the planning if needed.

Are you appointed operational project managers on all your projects?

In most of them, yes. This gives us the chance to oversee the full development of a project from A to Z and make sure it is executed in the most deep details (creative, operations, budget, concept, client experience...). There are no bad ideas, just a bad execution of an idea !

Could you be appointed if the concept / project has already been created?

Of course, our team is often appointed as operational project engineers to develop the project already powered by the client's team and other agencies. We use our experience and operational background for the project and steer it until the opening. In that case we are outsourced operational project managers.

Do you have the ability to be appointed hotel project managers on top of operational project managers?

Our company specialized in real estate construction and renovation projects involving hotels through its missions of assisted project management and as Construction Manager. If you wish to add this competence to the team along the side of operational project managers, it is totally possible.
